All roads lead to the National Cultural Center on Saturday August 12, for the crowing of Miss Emancipation 2017.  The Miss Emancipation show is hosted during the month of Emancipation, August, and is incorporated in the national calendar of activities for Emancipation month. Miss Universe Guyana 2017 Finalists revealed!

The Journey to Miss Universe Guyana 2017 continues and today we introduces you to the eleven finalists competing for the once in a lifetime chance to represent Guyana at the 66th Miss Universe Pageant. The Miss Universe Guyana 2017 finals is scheduled for Saturday, August 19, 2017 at York College in Jamaica New York.  The competition commences with all contestants arriving in NY for the preliminary competitions which includes, swimwear, talent, evening gown, fitness and intelligence segments. The scores from the Preliminary Competitions will help determine who will move one step closer towards winning the coveted crown and title. Gabriella Chapman to represent Guyana at Miss Jaycee Queen Show 2017!

Cabriella ChapmanAfter a two year hiatus, Guyana returns to the annual Miss Jaycees Queen Show.  Gabriella Chapman  will represent Guyana at the 56th Annual Miss Jaycees Queen Show in Antigua On Sunday July 30th, 2017.2017 at Carnival City Antigua.

Born on July 25th 1995, in the land of many waters, is 21 year old Gabriella Chapman whom everyone calls “Gabby”. She is an amiable person who thrives on learning and experiencing new things. Miss Universe Guyana 2017 First 7 Finalists!

The Miss Universe Guyana 2017 finals is scheduled for Saturday, August 19, 2017 at York College in Jamaica New York. The Miss Universe Guyana pageant is the official national preliminary of the Miss Universe Competition and for the first time in the pageant’s history our country’s national preliminary will be held in the home state of the Miss Universe Organization, New York City. Miss Global Int’l Guyana 2017 is Cynthia Dookie.

MGIG17.jpgOver the weekend, Guyana’s representative to Miss Global International 2017 was crowned. Cynthia Dookie is a 23 year old, driven young woman who strives for excellence in everything she does. She is a renowned fitness trainer and the founder of her signature fitness project- FIT U, under the slogan “Transforming Lives One Pound At A Time”. In her opening remarks she expressed her gratitude and excitement for this new journey. She referenced our past Queens as she knows the road ahead will be filled with hard work, laughter and many unforgettable experiences. Ms Dookie is no stranger to pageants as she recently competed in the Miss India Guyana 2017 pageant and copped the 2nd Runner up spot along with the Miss Fitness Award. Lisa Walcott to represent Guyana at Miss Caribbean Culture 2017.

20 years old Lisa Keisha Walcott will represent Guyana at the annual Miss Caribbean Culture Queen Pageant will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 .  Lisa is a young woman with an extraordinary love for life. Her repertoire of talents includes dancing and acting. The model’s ultimate passion is singing, she can’t go a day without it. Modelling has given her a louder voice to sound her beliefs on the importance of suicide prevention since she lost her brother to this act.

The 5’6 model who received her education at South Ruimveldt Secondary, dreams of becoming an engineer. Balancing her dream, while making a living, Walcott ensures she has her safety net.
