Miss World 2021 will be the 70th edition of the Miss World competition which will be held on December 16, 2021, at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico where Miss World 2019 Toni-Ann Singh will crown her successor at the end of the event. Unfortunately, Guyana will not be represented due to the many challenges facing the local leg of the competition even though the beginning of the year seemed promising. Guyana Returns to Miss Globe 2021!

After a 10 year hiatus, Guyana is expected to return to Miss Globe 2021. Bria Renee Lawrence, an British Guyanese beauty and model will represent Guyana at the annual Miss Globe Beauty Pageant in Albania. This 21 years old queen works as a fashion model and brand ambassador in London and holds a degree in Marketing from a prestige university in the United Kingdom. A part-time beauty queen and a full-time manager, Felicia Ally will represent Guyana at Miss Supranational 2021. This a 30 year old model and actress who has worked with many organizations in the world of media, fashion, and public figures was self-appointed as Miss Supranational Guyana 2020. However, due to the pandemic, she will represent Guyana at the 12th edition of the Miss Supranational pageant to be held later this summer in Poland. Guyanese American Crowned Elite Miss Earth USA 2021!

Nalicia Ramdyal, a determined 28-year-old Guyanese American was crowned Elite Miss Earth USA 2021 over the weekend in Orlando Florida. This pageant veteran bested more than 30 delegates from across the country and also copped the Miss Photogenic Award, Best in Runway Award and secured a Spokesmodel contract with Queenly; an online pageant selling app along with a US $1000 contract with HOTWORX. Miss India Worldwide Guyana 2021 Finalists!

Ten (10) Guyanese beauties of Indian origin has been shortlisted for a chance to represent Guyana at the annual Miss India Worldwide Pageant in Mumbai India later this year.  Each finalist will be eligible for the opportunity of a lifetime experience to travel to India and represent Guyana at the prestige pageant. She will be exposed to the richness of Indian culture and will be able to embrace art forms in classical dancing, yoga, and Indian cooking in addition to extensive pageant training with a leading pageant coach which will focus on routines, intelligence, etiquette, image, and personality. Berbice Beauty Ambassador is the new Miss Earth Guyana!

Like most events, the coronation for Miss Earth Guyana 2020 was cancelled due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19; event gathering and the high risks of social gathering are the key reasons for Guyana Premier foregoing on the event this year.

Miss Emerald Guyana 2020 is Arian Dahlia Richmond!

Guyana’s representative to the first ever Miss Emerald Pageant is Arian Dahlia Richmond. Arian is a 21 year old youth advocate and nature lover. Dahlia was born in the culturally rich Bartica. It was there her passion for nature and teaching blossomed. As Dahlia grew she found helping her peers was innate and that required representation. Majesty International, the official license holder of the Miss World Guyana franchise announces the cancellation of the 2020 Miss World Guyana national competition which was rescheduled from May 26th 2020 to a tentative kick-off in July 2020.The decision was due to the prolonged uncertainty of what may happen in the upcoming months if the COVID-19 guidelines continue to disallow event gathering and the impact the prolonged quarantine is currently having on Guyana’s economy and the world at large along with concerns building over Guyana’s inconclusive electoral results. As such, the organisation felt it had no other alternative but to cancel the 2020 Miss World Guyana Semifinals and Finals competition altogether.
